Privacy policy
How we look after the information you share with us, in plain English.
Who we are
Exit Ready UK (company number 17310523, registered in England and Wales) buys established UK businesses directly from their owners. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the information described on this page. You can contact us about anything here at privacy@exitreadyuk.co.uk.
What we collect and why
If you fill in our enquiry form, we collect your name, phone number, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your business. We use this to reply to you, to have the conversation you have asked for, and to assess whether we might be the right buyer for your business.
If you register interest as an investor, we collect your name, email address and what you tell us about your investing background. We use this to contact you about potential opportunities where the law allows.
Our lawful basis for both is legitimate interests: you have asked us to get in touch, and responding is in both our interests. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
What we never do
We do not sell your information. We do not add you to marketing lists. We do not pass your details to brokers, marketers or anyone else outside our group and our professional advisers. If a conversation about your business progresses, information is shared only under a confidentiality agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete it. If we enter a transaction together, some records are kept longer because the law requires it. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless a legal obligation prevents it.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies it strictly needs to work. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@exitreadyuk.co.uk and a person will reply. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
