How it works, step by step
Selling a business is a big decision. Our process is designed so you stay in control at every stage, and nothing happens until you say so.
Fill in the form
Four short questions, two minutes of your time. A real person reads every enquiry and we reply personally within two working days.
What we won't do: pass your details to anyone, add you to a mailing list, or pester you with calls.
A proper conversation
A phone call at a time that suits you. We listen to what you have built and what you want from a sale. Before any figures change hands, we sign a confidentiality agreement.
What we won't do: contact your staff, your customers or your suppliers. Nobody knows we are talking.
A clear offer
If we are a good fit, you get an offer in plain English. Price, structure and timings on a page or two. Take it to your accountant, your solicitor or your family. Take your time.
What we won't do: pressure you with deadlines, or chip the price at the last minute without a clear reason.
A smooth handover
We complete on a timeline that works for you. Some owners want a clean break, others prefer to help with a handover for a few months. Both are fine. Your staff are told when you choose, in the way you choose.
What we won't do: march in and change the name over the door on day one. Your legacy matters to us too.
Our confidentiality promise
Nothing about your business appears on any website or listing. We sign a confidentiality agreement before we see your accounts. We never approach your staff, customers or suppliers without your written say so. If we do not proceed, everything you shared is destroyed.
Questions owners ask us
- What happens to my staff?
- In almost every case, they keep their jobs. We buy businesses to run them, not strip them. Your team is usually the most valuable thing we are buying.
- How do you value my business?
- On its real earnings and its real prospects, explained to you in plain terms. We will show you our working. If you disagree, we talk about it like adults.
- My business has problems. Is it still worth talking?
- Yes. We look at businesses others walk past, including those facing real difficulties. An honest conversation costs nothing and stays private either way.
- Do my accounts need to be perfect first?
- No. Bring us what you have. We are used to owner-managed businesses and we know real accounts are rarely tidy.
- Who will know I am thinking of selling?
- Only the people you tell. From first contact to completion, confidentiality is written into how we work.
